Job Objective
Seeking a Tamheer Internal Audit Trainee to gain practical experience and develop foundational skills in internal auditing by supporting the Internal Audit team in evaluating risk management, internal controls, and governance processes under supervision.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of internal audits in accordance with the approved Internal Audit Plan under the supervision of the Head of Internal Audit and senior auditors.
- Support compliance with approved audit programs, methodologies, and templates.
- Participate in audit fieldwork by assisting in reviewing internal controls and testing compliance with policies and procedures.
- Help collect, review, and organize audit data, documents, and records to support audit activities.
- Assist in gathering preliminary information and background data prior to fieldwork visits.
- Support identifying key stakeholders and documenting process information.
- Participate in executing basic audit procedures, including walkthroughs and control testing, under guidance.
- Assist in conducting interviews with process owners to understand workflows and identify potential risks.
- Support data analysis to identify trends, exceptions, or areas for improvement.
- Prepare draft working papers and supporting documentation for review by senior auditors.
- Ensure audit documentation is properly organized and maintained in accordance with internal audit standards.
- Assist in drafting sections of internal audit reports and presentations.
- Attend internal audit team meetings to discuss audit progress, observations, and learning outcomes.
- Support the implementation of the Internal Audit Manual and adherence to internal audit policies.
- Assist in tracking audit observations and following up on corrective action plans with audited departments.
- Perform other related tasks assigned by the Head of Internal Audit to support audit objectives and professional development.
