Role: Internal Control Specialist
Location: Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:

To handle the requests of Central Bank Notices, Courts Attachments Orders, Deceased Cases, Balance Confirmation Certificates. Responsibilities include preparing response letters within the agreed TAT, in accordance with relevant procedures, checklists, and work instructions. To support the Court Management team by coordinating case documentation, ensuring compliance with court directives, and facilitating timely communication and execution of court-related actions.

Key Accountabilities of the role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Upon receiving the Central Bank notices /Courts letters/requests from the Internal Control Manager

1, Process Central Bank notices and court letters received from the Internal Control Manager.

1. Search ADIB records for name matches and confirm findings.
2. Retrieve customer information (e.g., account opening forms, statements, vouchers) and draft response letters for review and sign-off by Court Order Management authorized signatories.
3. Create and manage files for deceased case settlements, ensuring payment processing and delivery to court as per approvals and documentation.
4. Prepare Balance Confirmation Certificates in line with procedures for checker review and signature.
5. Maintain organized custody of related documents until transfer to the Central Custody Unit, adhering to the Clean Desk Policy.
6. Enhance performance through training, technical knowledge expansion, and participation in Court Order Management-assigned projects.
7. Foster teamwork, maintain excellent interdepartmental relations and uphold service standards.

8. Act as backup for other court order activities, contribute to RCSA, and support special tasks assigned by the Controls Head.

   RESULTS REQUIERD:

1. Timely responses to Central Bank Notices and Court Orders. Deceased Cases are timely settled and paid to the court/heirs
2. Balance Confirmation Certificates are timely issued and delivered to the customers auditors.
3. The response letter is correct and complete as per Control procedures, legal and compliance
4. Court Order management Procedures, Checklists and work instructions are strictly followed and implemented.

DIMENSIONS:

1. Court Order Management Team is UAE Centralized team based in ADIB Head office. The scope applies to ADIB UAE accounts.
2. The team is part of Learn lessons, technical guidance and assistance to the Branches and Central Ops users on handling courts & deceased related issues.
3. Central Point of contact within ADIB with Central Bank & Courts in UAE.
