Job Title: Overseas Sourcing & Procurement Specialist (Retail)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Overseas Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to manage international suppliers and support retail operations through effective sourcing, cost control, and inventory management. The role focuses on ensuring product availability, margin optimization, and fast product refresh cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement overseas sourcing strategies aligned with retail positioning, margins, and fast product refresh requirements.
- Manage end-to-end cost structures and negotiate supplier terms, including cost, MOQ, lead time, capacity, and exclusivity.
- Oversee purchasing, production planning, and inbound delivery from overseas suppliers.
- Monitor and control stock levels to reduce stockouts and overstock, ensuring healthy inventory.
- Analyze sales, inventory, and supply data to support sourcing, stock, and product decisions.
- Drive margin improvement through sourcing leverage and cost optimization initiatives.
- Monitor commodity prices, FX exposure, and supply risks while ensuring compliance with quality and ethical standards.
- Support new product and private-label programs from sourcing feasibility to mass production.
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Planning, and Quality Control teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in retail sourcing, procurement, or category management.
- Proven experience in retail fashion, FMCG, or supermarket brands.
- Strong supplier negotiation and cost optimization skills.
- Solid understanding of inventory management and supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
