EDP ASSOCIATE (MIS Analyst / Inventory Control)
The EDP Associate (MIS Analyst & Inventory Control) role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management and delivering actionable insights through data analysis to optimize warehouse operations. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, conducting audits, and generating reports that support operational efficiency and strategic decision-making within the warehouse.Responsible but not limited to:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and stock variances.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure accurate stock movement and documentation.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and optimize space utilization.
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory, order fulfillment, and warehouse KPIs.
- Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Create and manage dashboards using tools like Excel or Power BI.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems (WMS, ERP, etc.).
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely data.
Requirements and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory control and/or MIS reporting in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts) and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with WMS and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, InforWMS).
- Knowledge of SQL or other data query languages.
- Experience with automation of reports and dashboards.
- Understanding of lean inventory practices and warehouse KPIs.
