The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory tracking, physical organization, and stock level control across four key inventory types: Raw Materials, Ready-to-Assemble, Ready-Made Products, and Production Supplies. This role plays a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, enabling production readiness, and supporting procurement and production planning by ensuring reliable inventory data.
Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesTrack and record all incoming and outgoing stock.
Record any loss, damage in real-time
Perform regular cycle counts and periodic full stock audits.
Maintain 100% visibility of inventory across all warehouse types.
Monitor stock levels for each inventory category and set low-stock alerts.
Coordinate with purchasing to reorder materials as needed.
Flag critical stock shortages to production and procurement teams proactively.
Enforce physical organization standards in each inventory location.
Ensure labeled, categorized, and logically arranged stock
Enter all stock transactions in a digital inventory system or spreadsheet-based tracker.
Assist in maintaining SKU codes and item-level descriptions.
Maintain records of goods issued to production and returns from production.
Support the External Production Manager and Procurement team with timely stock data.
Liaise with quality control to separate rejected items and ensure accurate counts.
Support stock preparation for production batches
Conduct regular inventory status report (including discrepancies, losses, and reorder needs).
Responsible for applying inventory control policies, tagging, and documentation.
Participates in scheduled inventory audits with senior managers or external auditors.
Previous Experience in an inventory, storekeeping, or warehouse role (preferably in manufacturing or fabrication-related environments).
Required Skills and Competencies
Basic proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or any digital stock systems (ERP a plus).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to enforce order and cleanliness in physical spaces.
Basic understanding of inventory flows and cycle counting.
Ability to work independently and handle physical tasks (lifting, organizing, moving).
