Arabian Business, the leading source of business, economic, and financial news in the Middle East, is seeking a tenacious and highly skilled Investigative Journalist with a proven track record of uncovering exclusive, high-impact stories. This role is based in ITP Media Group's Media City HQ in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will have experience conducting deep-dive research, analysing complex corporate and financial data, and delivering premium, long-form journalism that drives subscription growth. You will be responsible for breaking exclusive news, cultivating high-level sources, and developing compelling narratives that engage and retain our audience of regional business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Pitch, research, and execute high-impact investigative features that uncover exclusive insights into the Middle East's corporate landscape.
- Analyse complex financial records, legal documents, and corporate filings to identify compelling narratives and expose market realities.
- Grow and maintain a robust network of confidential sources, industry insiders, and high-level contacts across key regional sectors (e.g., real estate, finance, energy, aviation, and tech).
- Write compelling, long-form articles that add significant value to the Arabian Business premium subscriber offering.
- Collaborate with the wider editorial, digital, and multimedia teams to translate complex investigations into engaging formats, including social video, podcasts, data visualisations, and newsletters.
- Ensure all reporting is rigorous, fact-checked, and adheres to the highest standards of journalistic integrity and legal compliance within the region.
- Stay ahead of regional economic trends, regulatory changes, and corporate movements to anticipate and lead the narrative on major industry shifts.
Key Skills
- Proven experience as an investigative reporter or senior journalist, with a strong portfolio in business, finance, or economics media.
- Exceptional research skills, including proficiency in navigating corporate registries, financial databases, and public records.
- Strong ability to build trust and manage sensitive relationships with confidential sources.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities, with a proven talent for turning dense data into accessible stories.

- Being an Arabic speaker is a plus.
