About The Role:
We are hiring an Investment Analyst / Associate to join the Dar Ventures team in Cairo, working directly with the fund lead across the full investment lifecycle. You will be involved in sourcing, due diligence, deal execution and portfolio support from day one, with real ownership of your workstreams.
Responsibilities:
Investment evaluation and execution:
- Source and screen startups in our sectors and geographies through active networking, ecosystem engagement and our pipeline channels, including the DarE program
- Analyse each opportunity against our investment thesis, covering team, market, product, traction, business model and deal terms, and build a clear, well-supported case for or against investing
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis, and build financial models and projections
- Prepare clear, well-structured investment memos for the Investment Committee, with a recommendation you can defend
Deal structuring and due diligence:
- Manage due diligence processes, coordinating with legal, financial and subject matter experts
- Support deal execution from first engagement through closing, including term sheet and cap table review, documentation and closing checklists
Portfolio impact:
- Work with portfolio company founders on strategic initiatives and connect them with the right people and opportunities across Dar
- Track key performance metrics, support fundraising activities, and assist with strategic partnerships and exit opportunities
Financial insight and reporting:
- Produce analyses of portfolio companies financial health and business performance
- Assist in creating transparent, data-driven fund reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Keep the pipeline, CRM and portfolio records accurate and up to date

Who You are:
- Hold a bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, Management, Engineering or a related discipline
- 1–3 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, consulting or a related analytical role
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modelling in Excel
- Able to form an independent view on a deal, argue it clearly and change it when the evidence says so
- Clear written and verbal communication in English & Arabic
- Organized and able to manage several deals and workstreams at once with attention to detail
- Interested in technology, innovation and the built environment, and in working closely with founders
