Job Description

Hays is hiring for a Director of Investments (Real Estate) role on behalf of a leading financial institution based in Dubai. This position is focused primarily on real estate investments, requiring a professional with strong experience in buy-side transactions and a proven track record of successful deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and execute real estate investment deals aligned with the firm's strategy.
  • Conduct detailed due diligence on potential opportunities, including financial, commercial, and fundamental reviews of assets, tenants, and locations.
  • Collaborate with legal, technical, and commercial consultants throughout the transaction process.
  • Secure financing sources and structure debt for assets.
  • Finalize transaction documentation and oversee execution.
  • Monitor assigned investments for operating performance, cash flows, and adherence to investment guidelines.
  • Prepare periodic investment reports and assist in developing buy-in or buy-out strategies.
  • Analyze financial information and forecast industry and economic conditions.
  • Assist in preparing Private Placement Memorandum (PPM) documents.

Requirements

  • Experience: 510 years in real estate investments, private equity, or fund management at a senior/principal level.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Real Estate; CFA preferred.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, analysis, and deal review.
  • Proven track record of successful real estate buy-side transactions.
  • Background in global firms and familiarity with Middle East markets.
  • Advanced skills in financial reporting, valuation, and analytics.
  • Strong industry knowledge in Islamic and Investment Banking, with technical expertise in Private Equity/Venture Capital.
  • Ability to thrive with autonomy.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
