Overview
This asset manager is seeking a Mandate Specialist for Discretionary Solutions to play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the discretionary mandate business. asset manager will serve as a trusted expert to Relationship Managers, clients, and internal stakeholders, ensuring discretionary offerings are positioned effectively across markets and client segments.
In this highly client-focused and commercially oriented role, asset manager will act as the key interface between Investment Management and the Front, ensuring seamless coordination from initial mandate promotion to ongoing servicing. asset manager will support new client acquisition, strengthen the value proposition, and contribute directly to revenue growth through your ability to communicate investment convictions and tailor solutions to client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop deep understanding of discretionary products and services
- Articulate value propositions of solutions to Relationship Managers and clients
- Support positioning of discretionary mandates across client segments
- Partner with Relationship Managers to create and deliver tailored client pitches and presentations
- Participate in client meetings to showcase discretionary offerings
- Act as first point of contact between Investment Management and Front teams
- Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients
- Identify opportunities to increase wallet share and deepen client relationships
- Monitor market developments, trends, competitor actions, and regulatory changes
- Use market insights to refine discretionary propositions and identify business opportunities
- Collaborate with Investment Specialists, Portfolio Managers, and Product Specialists
- Host regular desk meetings to update teams on market trends and conviction products
- Contribute to content creation and product messaging
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- Five years of professional experience in financial sector, preferably in investment management or sales
- Experience in comparable role within private banking or wealth management
- Strong knowledge of investment products and advisory/discretionary solutions
- Elevated understanding of asset management business, with focus on Middle East market
- Professional certifications (CFA, CAIA, or equivalent) advantageous
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts to internal teams and clients
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with critical and creative thinking
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and clients
- Demonstrated track record in achieving revenue growth and meeting sales targets
- Independent, efficient, proactive and meticulous working style
- Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus
- Proficient in portfolio management applications, especially Bloomberg AIM or similar
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
