Job Description
What you'll do
- Build and maintain a pipeline of direct opportunities and fund/co-invest relationships across target geographies
- Run first-pass screening against our mandate: business quality, alignment, downside protection, hold-period fit
- Maintain relationships with intermediaries, sponsors, operators, and other family offices
- Prepare screening memos with a clear recommendation to pursue or pass
Evaluation and execution
- Own the financial model: operating build-up, returns analysis, downside and stress cases
- Run or coordinate diligence workstreams — commercial, financial, legal, tax — including managing external advisors
- Draft investment memos: thesis, key risks, valuation, structure, exit or hold logic
- Support negotiation of terms, structuring, and documentation through to close
Portfolio management
- Monitor performance against underwriting; maintain KPI reporting and valuation marks
- Prepare quarterly portfolio reviews and consolidated performance reporting for the principal(s)
- Track fund commitments: capital calls, distributions, and manager performance
- Support liquidity events, follow-ons, restructurings, and exits
What we're looking for
Required
- 2–5 years in investment banking, private equity, transaction services, or a comparable investment role
- Strong financial modelling from a blank sheet — DCF, and operating models without relying on templates
- Demonstrated ownership of diligence workstreams on completed transactions
- Clear, concise written analysis; ability to write a memo that a busy decision-maker can act on
- Comfort with ambiguity and incomplete information, and the judgment to say so rather than paper over it
Preferred
- Exposure to multiple asset classes (private equity, real assets, credit, public markets)
- Experience across more than one geography or regulatory regime
- Familiarity with fund investing and co-investment mechanics
- CFA part qualified
- Additional languages relevant to our coverage markets
Attributes that matter here
- Intellectual honesty — you kill your own ideas when the evidence turns
- Discretion; family office work is confidential by default
- Comfortable being the only person on a deal, and comfortable being told no
