Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Manager/Senior Associate to join our investment team. This role provides exposure to the full venture capital lifecycle, including deal sourcing, technical and commercial diligence, investment execution, and portfolio management.
You will work closely with the CIO in evaluating deep tech investment opportunities, supporting investment committee decisions, and actively engaging with portfolio companies. The role is well-suited for candidates with strong analytical skills and an interest in frontier technologies and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Analysis & Diligence
- Evaluate prospective deep tech investments across technical, commercial, and financial dimensions.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and technology assessments to support investment theses.
- Build and maintain financial models, including revenue projections and scenario analyses.
- Prepare comprehensive due diligence materials and investment memoranda.
- Support deal leads in structuring transactions and presenting opportunities to the Investment Committee.
- Assist with valuation analysis and underwriting assumptions.
Portfolio Management
- Lead portfolio management initiatives, including cap table analysis, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), forecasting capital requirements, and analyzing investment returns.
- Support portfolio companies with financial modeling, reporting, and preparation for follow-on financings.
Fund Operations & Reporting
- Contribute to internal and external portfolio reporting for fund stakeholders and limited partners.
- Maintain internal deal tracking and reporting systems.
- Develop an understanding of risk-adjusted returns across deep tech investment opportunities.
Execution & Prioritization
- Manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proactively identify priorities and execute against tight deadlines.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related technical field.
- 38 years of experience in Venture capital
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical and commercial concepts clearly.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with deep tech sectors (energy, climate, industrials, AI, hardware, materials, etc.) is a major plus.
- Regional experience or interest in Saudi Arabia / MENA markets is advantageous.
