Job Description

Overview

The Opportunity:

The Investor Responsibility & Engagement Analyst is part of the Responsible Investment (RI) team. The Analyst is the local RI subject matter expert and also supports various institutional sales and service-related activities. The Analyst conducts corporate engagement on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. In addition, the Analyst serves as a resource to relationship managers and, as requested, attends external meetings to discuss the firm's RI practices. Other activities include assisting in preparing internal and external communications, data analysis and ad hoc projects.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Understand and monitor RI issues that could affect company performance and be knowledgeable of global and regional industry standards, best practices, and regulatory trends
  • Conduct corporate engagement on ESG issues. This is a complex process that includes: conducting research and analyzing company data, coordinating with others, and attending meetings with corporate executives regarding corporate ESG policies, practices and performance
  • Assist in creation and production of RI reporting and white papers
  • Serve as a resource for sales and service teams on RI & Shariah Investment topics. Includes responding to client requests and attending external meetings as requested
  • Manage assigned operational tasks and ad hoc projects with mid-level complexity through to completion
  • Ability to work with a global team that is based in multiple time zones
  • Identify, create and develop documentation for group
  • Follow group and firm policies and procedures

Your Qualifications:

  • Experience working with RI/ESG policies, principles and data
  • Experience communicating with managers and executives on business related topics
  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Fluent in business English and Arabic
  • At least 3 years of financial services or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast paced, team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage time across various tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
