Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Irrigation Technician based in Markaz Wady El Natron. The Irrigation Technician will install, monitor, and maintain irrigation systems for landscaped areas, ensuring optimal water distribution and system performance. Daily responsibilities include inspecting pipes, valves, pumps, and controllers; identifying leaks or malfunctions; performing repairs and adjustments; and coordinating scheduled maintenance to reduce downtime. The role also involves supporting general landscape maintenance activities, collaborating with supervisors and colleagues to prioritize tasks, and documenting work performed and materials used. The Irrigation Technician will communicate with the onsite team regarding system issues, safety procedures, and proposed improvements to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform Landscape Maintenance and basic groundskeeping tasks in outdoor environments.
- Practical experience with Irrigation systems, including installation, operation, repair, and routine maintenance.
- Demonstrated Supervisory Skills for guiding support staff, coordinating daily work, and ensuring adherence to site standards.
- Strong Communication abilities to interact effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Proficient Troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement timely solutions for irrigation and related equipment.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to irrigation, tools, and outdoor work environments.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, system layouts, and manufacturer manuals.
- Previous experience in hospitality, resort, or large-scale property maintenance is an advantage.
- High school diploma or technical certification in irrigation, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.
- Capability to work on-site full time, with flexibility for peak-season schedules and outdoor conditions.
