IT Business Analyst (Banking & Investment)

The client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to act as a critical liaison between firm users and IT functions. The role involves capturing, documenting, and processing business-driven IT demands, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and smooth execution of the demand process at an operational level.

Core Objectives

• Facilitate communication between platform owners and IT to capture and articulate business needs and IT requirements.

• Analyze and prioritize incoming IT demands, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and IT capabilities.

• Support development and maintenance of the IT demand process, enhancing operational efficiency and responsiveness to business needs.

• Conduct workshops with business unit leaders to understand and document requirements.

• Perform analysis of business processes, identifying IT solutions that support objectives.

• Collaborate with IT strategy teams to ensure business demands are reflected in IT planning.

• Adhere to established demand capture policies and refine methodologies for clarity and efficiency.

• Provide detailed business analysis and requirements documentation to project teams.

• Report regularly on demand status, highlighting priorities, challenges, and opportunities.

• Manage project budgets based on business requirements and monitor utilization.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.

• Professional certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) preferred.

• Minimum 6 years of experience in business analysis or similar role within IT/technology.

• Strong background liaising between business units and IT, with deep knowledge of demand capture processes.

• Experience in Banking & Investments, specifically with Investment Management Systems such as

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to translate business needs into IT requirements.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

• Proficiency in business analysis tools and IT project lifecycle methodologies.

• Knowledge of current IT trends and technologies applied to business problems.

• Experience with demand management software and tools is highly advantageous.
