About the Role
Reporting to the BI & Analytics Director, the IT Data Analyst will be responsible for delivering analytical insights, developing interactive dashboards, and supporting enterprise reporting initiatives while promoting data quality, governance, and self-service analytics.
You will:
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports across multiple business functions
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and meaningful KPIs
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs
• Work closely with Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers to ensure data availability and integrity
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, datasets, and visualizations aligned with business requirements
• Support data governance initiatives by implementing standardized metrics, definitions, and reporting practices
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable analytical outputs
• Leverage AI-powered capabilities within Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, including Copilot, to accelerate insight generation and reporting productivity
• Support business users in adopting self-service BI and standardized datasets
• Document analytical methodologies, reporting logic, and business definitions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities
This role will work closely with Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, IT teams, and business stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, and other functional areas.
Key responsibilities
The successful incumbent will be an analytical problem solver who can bridge business requirements with technical solutions while delivering high-quality insights that support strategic decision-making.
You will demonstrate:
• 3-7 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, and business intelligence reporting
• Strong experience designing dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases and data warehouses
• Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M) for report development and calculations
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric components, including Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, OneLake, and Data Pipelines, is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and business intelligence best practices
• Experience translating business requirements into analytical solutions and performance dashboards
• Exposure to AI-assisted analytics, Power BI Copilot, and Natural Language Query capabilities is an advantage
• Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), or Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) are highly advantageous.
