Job Description

IT Governance Lead Key Responsibilities

  • Implement & Mature IT Governance: Establish and continuously improve IT governance framework, policies, and processes.
  • Manage Policies & Procedures: Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations (especially healthcare data privacy) and organizational goals.
  • Oversee Risk & Compliance: Identify, assess, and mitigate IT risks; ensure regulatory compliance through regular checks and audit preparation.
  • Monitor & Report Performance: Define IT KPIs and metrics; report on IT performance, compliance, and risk to senior management.
  • Implement Decision-Making Frameworks: Create clear processes for IT investments, projects, and operational changes to align with business strategy.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with IT leadership and other departments to embed governance principles and drive process adoption.
  • Optimize Processes: Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, foster efficiency, and ensure IT supports business objectives effectively.
  • Provide Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver training on IT governance policies and procedures across the organization.
Required Qualifications for IT Governance Lead

· Proven Experience: At least 5 years in IT Governance, Audit, Risk Management, or Compliance, ideally in healthcare or other regulated industries.

· Framework Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks like COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, and risk management methodologies.

· Policy Development: Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage IT policies, standards, and procedures.

· Regulatory Awareness: Solid knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., Egyptian, GDPR) and other healthcare compliance requirements.

· Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with attention to detail.

· Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with stakeholders.

· Proactive & Strategic Mindset: Ability to anticipate challenges, propose solutions, and drive initiatives independently.

· Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Master's or certifications (e.g., CGEIT, CRISC, CISM) are a plus.
