Role Description The Director role at SIST ACM SIGAI Student Chapter is a full-time, on-site position based in Vijayawada. The Director will oversee the chapter's strategic planning, program development, and overall operations, ensuring alignment with ACM SIGAI guidelines and institutional objectives. Daily responsibilities include coordinating events and workshops, guiding student committees, managing communication with stakeholders, and fostering collaborations with academic and industry partners. The Director will supervise outreach activities, support research and project initiatives, and maintain a positive, inclusive environment for chapter members. This role also involves monitoring progress against goals, managing budgets and resources, and reporting chapter activities to relevant governing bodies.

Qualifications

Experience in academic or student organization leadership, with the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple initiatives.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, faculty, and external partners.
Background or strong interest in artificial intelligence, computer science, or related fields, with familiarity with current AI trends.
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative teams, mentor emerging leaders, and support inclusive community-building.
Proficiency in event planning, program coordination, and basic administrative and budgeting processes.
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience in academic or technical organizations.
Experience working with professional societies, technical chapters, or student clubs is an advantage.
