Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for both hardware and software maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing personal computer, network server, printers, scanners and other computer peripherals. Responsible for monthly documentation and preventive maintenance of the mentioned equipment

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics.

  • Assembles personal computers.

  • Responsible for network installation, testing and maintenance.

Responsible for configuration and installation of software on personal computers.

Responsible for network cabling and setup as directed by communication and network supervisor.

Troubleshooting computer hardware and peripherals.

Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by computer operations manager.

Troubleshoot and support Citrix system.

Should be flexible to work in all NMC business units.

  • Meets current objectives and positions the organization for future growth. Completes daily tasks and assignments and processes large volumes of work associated with the operation of the department.
  • Builds positive relationships based on respect for others. Demonstrates a helpful positive attitude. Maintains effective communication with peers, medical staff, patients, visitors, and families.
  • Meets and exceeds expectations of internal and external customers. All organizational and departmental standards regarding quality of performance are met. Demonstrates a strong commitment to confidentiality. Participates in quality improvement programs as directed.
  • Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by Superiors.

Qualifications

Education:

A minimum of two (2) years diploma in Computer Hardware and Networking Technology from an IT institution.

Registration with SCE (Saudi council for Engineering).

Experience:

A minimum of two (2) years experience in a large hospital setting in a similar job.

Competencies & skills:

Competent in assembling, repair and troubleshooting of personal computer, network servers, printers, scanners.

Must have experience in MS-WIN 2000 Server, 98, XP, network installation, probably UTP category cable and maintenance.

Must have extensive experience in Microsoft operating systems and other products.

Fluency in verbal and written English.

Exhibits excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Knowledge in Network environment preferable.

Knowledge of Arabic language preferable.
