Objective
The IT Infrastructure Management Analyst is responsible for contributing to the planning, implementation, and maintenance of ASMO's IT infrastructure including cloud. The Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders, such as other Unit and Department members across Technology and other business units, to help develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies and plans that align with ASMO's goals.
General Responsibilities
- The role holder will have knowledge of the rules, procedures and in some cases, the principles and practices within the IT Infrastructure discipline. They will be tasked with selectively extracting, verifying, and compiling objective and measurable data. In some instances, they may determine the course of action based on established principles and modify existing processes and methods.
- Assess current infrastructure, analyze requirements, and develop infrastructure strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define infrastructure architectures, capacity planning, and scalability considerations.
- Work closely with internal teams or external vendors to ensure that infrastructure components including cloud, such as servers, networks, storage systems, and virtualization technologies, are properly installed, configured, and integrated.
- Periodically report on overall infrastructure performance
- Participate in testing and validation activities to ensure successful IT Infrastructure deployment.
- Use monitoring tools and techniques to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify bottlenecks or issues, and initiate appropriate actions to maintain optimal infrastructure performance.
- Analyze and diagnose infrastructure-related issues, coordinate with support teams or vendors, and implement corrective measures.
- Conduct capacity planning, monitor resource utilization, and make recommendations for capacity upgrades or enhancements to the IT Infrastructure Management Manager; may also implement resource allocation policies to optimize infrastructure usage and cost efficiency.
- Implement security controls, monitor infrastructure for vulnerabilities, and participate in security incident response activities.
- Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their capabilities.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
- Implement all relevant IT Solutions department's policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies and standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required
- Master's degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred
- CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or any relevant certification preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English
- 5 years experience in the same Field.
