The Opportunity
The IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of MetLife's core IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, cloud services, and related technologies across MetLife Egypt. This role is critical to maintaining the stability and resiliency of business operations by delivering reliable infrastructure services, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and enabling employees and customers to work with confidence.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in modernizing enterprise infrastructure, leading technology improvement initiatives, and working with diverse technologies that directly support MetLife's business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, including Windows servers, virtualization platforms, Vulnerability remediations, storage systems, and to ensure high availability and performance.
Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize operational risk and service disruption.
Coordinate with internal teams, global technology partners to support business initiatives, incident resolution, and continuous service improvement.
Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, operational procedures, disaster recovery capabilities, and technical documentation to support a secure and resilient IT environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
5 years of experience supporting and administering enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, storage, and security remediations technologies.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization technologies, and enterprise backup solutions.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, manage multiple priorities, and effectively collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Ability to effectively use AI-powered tools and digital technologies to enhance productivity, automate routine tasks, improve decision-making, and support continuous learning in a technology-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure), enterprise monitoring tools, backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Rubrik), and infrastructure automation using PowerShell or similar scripting technologies.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning within a regulated enterprise environment.
