Position Overview:
The IT System Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring the security, stability, and performance of our banking systems and IT infrastructure.
This role requires solid technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a strong understanding of banking compliance, data security, and business continuity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain on-premise IT infrastructure, ensuring continuous availability of critical banking systems.
- Manage Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related services.
- Monitor system performance, conduct regular health checks, and implement proactive solutions to enhance system reliability.
- Configure and secure network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) in line with regulatory and security requirements.
- Perform regular data backups, disaster recovery drills, and system audits.
- Manage user access controls, permissions, and identity management systems across various banking applications.
- Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and cybersecurity teams to ensure systems align with regulatory requirements.
- Document system configurations, processes, and change management activities.
- Coordinate with external vendors for system upgrades, security patches, and hardware/software procurement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum two years of experience in IT system administration, preferably within the banking or financial sector.
- Professional certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, ITIL.
Additional Technical Skills in:
- Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux systems.
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management.
- Virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Network troubleshooting.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and support 24/7 mission-critical systems.
