Main job duties and responsibilities:
- Design and install well-functioning computer networks, connections and cabling.
- Responsible for running new cabling in new or existing buildings and projects.
- Termination and testing of new cabling.
- Troubleshoot the cable if needed to determine the faulty area if it were patch cord, or faceplate, CCTV installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Install Network Cables to connect Access points in locations.
- Install Wi-Fi Access points and ensure that access points are connected
- Setting up new telecommunications frames.
- Schedule maintenance for HW and IT rooms.
- Manage schedule maintenance for Air conditions and UPS related to IT rooms.
- PBX support with Vendor.
- Leading technicians through new project.
- Training for new technician.
- Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job's specialty.
Job requirements:
Educational background and previous experience:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 0 - 3 years hands on experience (Technician).
- Minimum 4 years hands on experience (Senior).
- Know how to terminate various low voltage wiring including Fiber Optic, Cat 6, Coax and other copper wiring schemes.
Knowledge and Functional Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Self-starter, resourceful, great problem solver.
- Good knowledge of cable types.
