IT Network Operations Technician

Main job duties and responsibilities:

1. Design and install well-functioning computer networks, connections and cabling.
2. Responsible for running new cabling in new or existing buildings and projects.
3. Termination and testing of new cabling.
4. Troubleshoot the cable if needed to determine the faulty area if it were patch cord, or faceplate, CCTV installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
5. Install Network Cables to connect Access points in locations.
6. Install Wi-Fi Access points and ensure that access points are connected
7. Setting up new telecommunications frames.
8. Schedule maintenance for HW and IT rooms.
9. Manage schedule maintenance for Air conditions and UPS related to IT rooms.
10. PBX support with Vendor.
11. Leading technicians through new project.
12. Training for new technician.
13. Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job's specialty.

Job requirements:

Educational background and previous experience:

1. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. 0 - 3 years hands on experience (Technician).
3. Minimum 4 years hands on experience (Senior).
4. Know how to terminate various low voltage wiring including Fiber Optic, Cat 6, Coax and other copper wiring schemes.

Knowledge and Functional Skills:

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
3. Excellent organization and attention to detail.
4. Self-starter, resourceful, great problem solver.
5. Good knowledge of cable types.
