Job Purpose:
The Network Specialist is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of the IT and ELV systems, in collaboration with the system integrators and other associates. It is essential to ensure that best practices, time management, compliance, and security measures are upheld and implemented whenever a change or enhancement occurs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform or assist in the engineering, installation, operation and maintenance of infrastructure, network and ELV systems in accord with established procedures to facilitate effective operations and smooth network, system availability.
- Ensure that comprehensive monitoring of all mission critical network infrastructure and system components is performed with a proper SOP in place.
- Contribute to the implementation of an effective and robust control, backup and security systems to safeguard and protect all network operations and ensure the reliability and integrity of systems.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, reports, and practices considering best practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Oversee the service and support provided by vendors while developing strong relationships with them. Ensure that they deliver efficient and effective services to ARM, comply with SLAs, and manage contracts in an efficient way.
- Ensure that all available data from the network devices and other tools is utilized to ascertain the areas in which capacity adjustments are necessary to proactively support business requirements.
- Support project teams in delivery of wider IT services and systems, ensuring adherence to IT best practice and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
- Network, project management and other related certifications.
Experience:
- Min of 6-8 years of experience in overseeing IT and ELV systems.
