About The Role

We are not just launching a new plant we are shaping the future of automotive manufacturing in Saudi Arabia. As a greenfield investment by a leading German Tier 1 supplier, our new site in KAEC represents a bold step in global expansion and innovation.

We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Expert to ensure the stable, secure, and efficient operation of the local IT infrastructure. The role acts as the primary IT contact at site level, supporting both office and production environments while ensuring compliance with corporate IT standards, policies, and cybersecurity requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and operate local IT systems: setup, configuration, monitoring, patching, and cybersecurity.
  • Manage servers, clients (PCs), scanners, printers, and network infrastructure (VLANs, switches, firewalls, WiFi, telecommunications systems).
  • Operate and support virtualized environments, backup and recovery systems.
  • Provide secondlevel IT support to end users.
  • Support production systems and shopfloor IT infrastructure.
  • Actively monitor IT infrastructure and proactively identify risks and issues.
  • Participate in IT incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Perform rootcause analysis and ensure timely resolution of incidents.
  • Translate business requirements into IT solutions in line with IT standards and policies.
  • Create, maintain, and update IT infrastructure documentation, including emergency handbooks and contingency plans.
  • Manage and document IT inventories (hardware, software licenses, local maintenance contracts).
  • Plan and manage hardware lifecycle and replacements according to corporate IT standards.
  • Manage and monitor IT SLAs.
  • Handle IT purchasing requisitions and coordination with procurement.
  • Act as the main IT contact for local external IT service providers.
  • Serve as the primary local IT contact person within the site.

Required Profile

  • IT System Technician or similar role with 35 years of experience in a comparable position.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Servers: Linux and Windows Server administration.
  • Networking: mediumlevel network management knowledge; CCNA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Databases: MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Enduser devices: PCs, scanners, tablets.
  • Backup solutions, preferably Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Virtualization technologies, especially VMware.
  • OPC servers and industrial communication systems.
  • IT monitoring and alerting tools.
  • User support and service desk collaboration.
  • Production IT support experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and CMDB usage.

Additional Competencies

  • Good command of English (written and reading); ability to communicate with regional and corporate IT teams.
  • Strong communication skills and serviceoriented mindset.
  • High sense of responsibility, reliability, and proactive attitude.
  • Strong awareness and sensitivity toward cybersecurity and data protection topics.

Education

  • Technical education in IT System Administration or a degree in Information Technology or a related field.
