Job Summary
The IT Planning Analyst (Contracts) is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT contracts, ensuring effective governance, compliance, cost control, and risk mitigation. The role supports IT procurement and contract execution activities by coordinating with internal stakeholders, managing SAP transactions, and ensuring alignment with approved CAPEX and OPEX budgets in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management & Governance
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT contracts, from requirements gathering through execution and contract close-out.
Prepare, review, and maintain contractual documents in compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and governance standards.
Ensure contracts are executed, monitored, and closed in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
Ensure timely and accurate contract close-out activities in line with internal policies and audit requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including IT SMEs, Supply Chain, Legal, and Finance to ensure contractual clarity and alignment.
Provide guidance and support to Contract Owners and Representatives throughout the tendering and execution phases.
Act as a focal point for contractual communication across cross-functional teams.
Procurement & Budget Alignment
Support procurement activities by coordinating with Supply and Legal teams to ensure timely processing of tenders and contracts.
Ensure accurate SAP transactions related to IT procurement and contract execution.
Monitor and ensure alignment of contract execution with approved CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
Supplier & Performance Management
Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service delivery expectations.
Conduct contract and supplier evaluations to ensure value realization, performance compliance, and achievement of business objectives.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
Strategic & Compliance Support
Provide strategic input into IT sourcing strategies and procurement planning.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, audit readiness, and internal control standards.
Support governance and risk mitigation initiatives related to high-value and complex IT contracts.
Qualifications & Experience
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Professional Experience
58 years of experience in IT contract management, procurement, or supply chain, preferably within oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors.
Proven experience managing high-value and complex IT contracts in a regulated environment.
Experience working with legal, technical, and procurement teams.
Technical & Functional Skills
Strong knowledge of IT contracting principles, procurement strategies, and vendor governance frameworks.
Familiarity with IT-related contracts including software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions.
Proficiency in ERP and contract management tools (SAP preferred).
Strong understanding of CAPEX and OPEX budget management.
Soft Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail.
Ability to interpret, draft, and review complex contractual terms and conditions.
Certifications (Preferred)
Certification in contract or procurement management such as IACCM/WorldCC, CIPS, or equivalent.
