IT Project Manage

Role Description This part-time remote IT Project Manager role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing IT initiatives that support JORC GH's research and data-driven services. Day-to-day tasks include defining project scopes and timelines, managing project resources, tracking milestones, and ensuring that IT systems and tools effectively support capacity building, data management, and evidence synthesis activities. The IT Project Manager will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, coordinate technical support efforts, and resolve issues that impact project delivery or IT performance. The role also involves documenting project progress, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, and recommending improvements to IT infrastructure and workflows to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Information Technology skills, with experience in managing IT systems and tools used for research, data analysis, and collaboration.
• Candidates should possess Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose, resolve, and prevent IT issues affecting project teams and workflows.
• Candidates should possess Team Leadership and Team Management skills to coordinate project teams, guide priorities, and ensure timely delivery of IT-related tasks.
• Candidates should possess project management abilities, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Relevant experience with remote collaboration tools, data security best practices, and documentation of IT processes is beneficial.
• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
• Experience working with research organizations, NGOs, or public health projects in Ghana or the sub-Saharan African region is an advantage.
