We are looking for an IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology projects for our client, a large semi-governmental organization in Dubai.
This role requires strong hands-on project delivery experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to independently drive projects from initiation through to completion in a client-facing environment.
This is an initial 12-month contract role and reports to the Head of PMO in the Technology department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technology projects, ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives are achieved
- Drive project execution across business, technology, vendors, and external stakeholders with minimal supervision
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource plans, and project documentation
- Manage client and stakeholder expectations through effective communication and regular status reporting
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project milestones
- Facilitate project governance activities, steering committee meetings, and decision-making forums
- Track project performance and implement corrective actions where required to maintain delivery commitments
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, governance standards, and organizational policies
- Manage third-party vendors and delivery partners to ensure successful project outcomes
- Support user acceptance testing, deployment planning, and go-live activities
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- 6–8 years of experience delivering IT projects within complex enterprise environments
- Proven hands-on project delivery experience with a track record of successfully managing projects from initiation to completion
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build credibility and manage senior stakeholders effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter and drive project outcomes with limited oversight
- Experience managing enterprise applications, system implementations, digital transformation, or technology-enabled business projects
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches
- Experience managing project budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines
- Hands-on experience using project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Experience working with external vendors, consultants, and business stakeholders
- PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification is preferred
- Experience within real estate, government, semi-government, or large enterprise organizations is advantageous
