Job Description

Job Purpose:

The IT Sales Engineer is responsible for driving revenue growth by combining technical expertise with sales skills to promote and sell IT solutions, systems, and services. The role involves understanding client requirements, designing tailored solutions, and supporting the sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets
  • Promote IT solutions including infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and software solutions
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders

2. Technical Pre-Sales Support

  • Analyze client requirements and propose suitable technical solutions
  • Prepare technical proposals, presentations, and solution designs
  • Conduct product demonstrations and proof of concept (PoC) where required
  • Work closely with vendors and internal technical teams

3. Solution Design & Proposal Management

  • Develop cost-effective and competitive solutions aligned with client needs
  • Prepare RFP/RFQ responses, technical documentation, and compliance matrices
  • Ensure solutions meet client specifications and industry standards

4. Client Engagement

  • Act as a technical advisor to clients during the sales process
  • Participate in meetings, negotiations, and presentations
  • Provide after-sales technical support coordination when required

5. Market Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies
  • Identify new opportunities in sectors such as government, oil & gas, construction, and FM

6. Coordination & Reporting

  • Collaborate with internal departments (procurement, operations, finance)
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and CRM updates
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities and forecasts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (preferred):
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
  • Cloud certifications (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud)

Experience

  • 3–7 years of experience in IT sales or pre-sales engineering
  • Experience in system integrator or IT solutions company preferred
  • Strong exposure to Saudi / GCC market is a plus
