This role is part of the new centralised IT team within Vodafone Shared Services. The Application Infrastructure Architect defines the architecture and guidelines for the application landscape of the entire VSS organisation with 17,000+ employees. The role is responsible for developing a VSS-wide application architecture model, which enables the continued growth of the VSS organisation and is consistent across the four VSS locations (India, Egypt, Romania, Hungary).
The Application Infrastructure Architect supports early-stage projects in reviewing technical solutions and ensuring architecture-compliant IT solution designs and deriving high-level effort estimations. The role also reviews and approves solution designs of new applications for internal VSS usage.
Competencies Required:-
- 6-7 years of experience minimum of 4 years of them in CRM/ BUSINESS APPLICATION Architecture
- Experience in developing reference architecture models for the IT application landscape of a global IT and telecom organization with a proven track for complex projects
- AI-Driven Application Architecture: Proven experience in designing and integrating Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) frameworks directly into core business applications (such as ERP, CRM, or SCM) to automate complex workflows and enhance decision-making
- Scalable Cloud Infrastructure & Ops: Expertise in architecting high-performance, cloud-native environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) using microservices and Ops pipelines to manage the unique compute and latency, with experience in containerization and VDI concepts, plus good experience in network infrastructure and components.
- Deep understanding of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL, and eTOM (good to have)
- Strategic Business-IT Alignment: A track record of translating high-level business pain points into technical blueprints, ensuring that AI and software investments are directly mapped to corporate KPIs and measurable ROI.
- Security & Data Privacy: Experience implementing robust and secured end to end solution while leading cross-functional teams through the cultural and technical shifts of digital transformation
