Job Description

Summary:

We are hiring two IT Support specialists to deliver dedicated on-site IT services to Lenovo's local plant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

These two positions are split into two core responsibilities:

  1. IT Support Engineer-Deskside
  2. IT Support Engineer- Infrastructure

(Important note: The hiring entity is our company, and you will be assigned to provide on-site support for Lenovo's facility as the end client.)

Work Location: Building 8791,105th Street, Special Integrated Logistics Zone, Riyadh 13442, Postal Code 13442, Saudi Arabia

Work Type: Independent Contractor

Work Hours:35-45 hours Per Week

IT Support Engineer-Deskside

Experience: 1+ years

Job Description:

A Deskside Engineer provides on-site, hands-on IT support to end users. The role focuses on resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues that cannot be handled remotely by the service desk, ensuring a smooth and productive end-user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site Level 2 deskside support for end users, including desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and peripherals
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform IMACD activities (Install, Move, Add, Change, De-install) for end-user devices
  • Support OS installation, reimaging, encryption, driver installation, and application deployment
  • Handle incident and service request tickets via the ITSM/ticketing system and provide regular status updates to users
  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to L3 teams or specialized support groups when required
  • Support user onboarding and offboarding, including device setup and access readiness
  • Maintain and contribute to the knowledge base, documenting recurring issues, workarounds, and solutions
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for hardware repair, replacement, and warranty cases
  • Ensure compliance with SLA, security, and IT policies during support delivery

Technical Skill:

  • Strong knowledge of: Windows OS (Windows 10/11), Office productivity tools, Desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals
  • Hands-on experience with: Device imaging and deployment tools (e.g., SCCM / endpoint tools) and Active Directory basics (join domain, user/group support)
  • Familiarity with ITIL / ITSM processes
  • Good troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in an on-site support environment

Job Title: IT Plant Local Support Engineer - Infrastructure

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Experience: 2+ years

Job Description:

IT infrastructure Support Engineer provides support and maintenance for IT the infrastructure on the designated site/GEO. Fulfill the service within the defined SLA levels. Oversee respective applications, systems and IT infrastructures. Support system maintenances, outages. Provide customer service for business end-users. Focuses on keeping the critical business applications running. Take part in IT related projects that affect the designated site/GEO. Act as IT ambassador for local business, deliver service monthly report to business stakeholders and manage their satisfaction to IT service.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep critical IT managed applications running.
  • Deliver support service within the IT Service Level Agreements to achieve IT and business KPIs.
  • Support IT related change requests, projects that impact the local/regional business (including infrastructure, DWS, applications and security).
  • Act as IT focal for the business, deliver IT service report to business mgmt. team and manage business satisfaction to IT service.
  • Keep the IT system supporting network infrastructure maintained
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and audit requirements

Technical Skill:

  • Microsoft Windows clients intermediate level
  • Windows servers, Active Directory services basic level
  • Linux systems basic level
  • Computer networking intermediate level
  • Microsoft 365 main applications basic level
  • Printing services basic level. Label and laser printers
  • Android devices basic level
  • Software and hardware troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with ITIL process and Agile methodology.
  • Basic knowledge of IT Cyber-security, such as application security, access management
