Job Description
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer / IT Support Specialist to provide technical support, troubleshoot IT issues, and maintain reliable technology environments for users and business operations. The role involves diagnosing hardware, software, network, and system-related issues while ensuring timely resolution and a positive user experience.
Key responsibilities include responding to IT support requests, troubleshooting technical issues, installing and configuring computers, software, peripherals, and other IT equipment. The role also involves managing user accounts, access permissions, system configurations, and IT assets, as well as supporting network connectivity, printers, email systems, collaboration tools, and other business applications.
The role will maintain accurate records of incidents, service requests, configurations, and solutions while escalating complex issues when required. Responsibilities may also include supporting system upgrades, software deployments, security updates, backup procedures, and IT infrastructure improvements. The position contributes to maintaining IT security, operational reliability, documentation, and continuous improvement of support processes.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux, Microsoft 365, or other common business technology environments.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, access control, and IT asset management is an advantage.
- Understanding of IT security principles, system updates, endpoint protection, and data protection practices.
- Familiarity with helpdesk or ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to users.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
- Good documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external technology providers.
- Proactive mindset with a strong focus on service quality, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
