About The Role

IT System Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure and systems.
This role combines technical troubleshooting with proactive infrastructure management. You will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring systems, networks, and IT services, resolving technical issues, and ensuring a secure and reliable technology environment that supports Octane's growing business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage, maintain, and monitor servers, systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and IT hardware.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and security policies.
- Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other enterprise IT systems.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, backups, and maintenance activities.
- Implement and maintain IT security measures to protect company systems and data.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, VPNs, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
- Support IT infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and new technology implementations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when required.
- Provide technical support to employees and ensure timely resolution of IT incidents.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in IT systems administration, infrastructure, or system engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and backups.
- Good understanding of IT security principles and access management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and incident management capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with a strong focus on system reliability, security, and continuous improvement.
