IT & Systems Specialist
Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Specialist to support our technology infrastructure and ensure seamless operation across cloud, network, and end-user environments. The successful candidate will manage AWS cloud resources, administer Microsoft 365 services, maintain system security, and provide reliable technical support to the organization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Cloud Management
- Support cloud-based infrastructure and services using AWS Cloud Practitioner-level skills.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot AWS services.
- Assist in cost monitoring, usage tracking, and rightsizing to optimize AWS billing and performance.
- Support basic automation and deployment workflows.
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory.
- Handle user account lifecycle, permissions, and group policies.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for Microsoft 365 services and end-user issues.
- Ensure email security, data loss prevention (DLP), and compliance configurations are in place.
IT Operations & Support
- Provide first and second-level support to internal users on hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Monitor IT infrastructure (desktops, laptops, printers, network devices) and coordinate with vendors when needed.
- Ensure regular patching and updates across systems and devices.
- Maintain inventory of hardware/software assets and documentation.
Security & Backup
- Enforce IT security best practices across all platforms including MFA, secure access, and endpoint protection.
- Implement and maintain backup solutions for local and cloud-based systems.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand IT requirements and deliver solutions.
- Document procedures, knowledge base articles, and configuration details.
- Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and improvement suggestions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security practices, and backup solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
