IT Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Provide IT support for laptops, desktops, iPads, printers, phones, smartboards, projectors and classroom technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and user-access issues through the IT helpdesk.
• Install, configure and support Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook and approved applications.
• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• Manage basic user administration including account setup, password resets and access permissions.
• Prepare IT equipment and accounts for employee/student onboarding and offboarding.
• Support BYOD/mobile devices and MDM solutions.
• Provide basic operational support for CCTV, VOIP, ERP and print-management systems.
• Assist with IT setup for meetings, classrooms and school events.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, device allocation and warranty records.
• Document incidents and escalate complex network, security or infrastructure issues.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Systems, Network Administration or related field.
• 2–5 years of IT technical/helpdesk support experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows, hardware/software troubleshooting and user administration.
• Experience supporting end-user devices and classroom/AV technologies.
• Good understanding of IT asset management and information security practices.
• Previous experience in a school, educational institution or multi-site environment is preferred.
