To maintain competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for IT Vendor Management Team Leader

Job purpose:

The Vendor Management Team Leader is responsible for leading and optimizing vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency, service quality, risk mitigation, and alignment with business objectives.

This role exists to provide strategic oversight, governance, and performance management of third-party vendors. Without this role, the organization would face increased operational risk, higher costs, inconsistent service levels, limited scalability, and reduced accountability across vendor engagements.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Develop and implement the overall IT Vendor Management strategy aligned with the organization's digital transformation and business objectives.
  • Lead vendor selection, RFP, and contract negotiation processes, ensuring commercial competitiveness, risk mitigation, and value maximization.
  • Establish vendor governance framework, including performance review cadence, executive business reviews (EBRs), and escalation management structure.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives through contract consolidation, renegotiation, benchmarking, and identification of cost-saving opportunities across IT services.
  • Ensure vendor risk management and compliance, including security, regulatory, data privacy, and business continuity requirements.
  • Oversee contract lifecycle management, including renewals, amendments, terminations, and performance-based penalties or incentives.
  • Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Risk departments to ensure alignment in vendor strategy, contract terms, and compliance standards.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in vendor management, procurement, supply chain, or operationsBachelor's degree in related field
  • Vendor governance and performance management, Contract management and commercial negotiations, Risk, compliance, and supplier continuity planning
  • Understanding of market dynamics, supplier ecosystems, and cost drivers
  • Strong business and financial acumen
