We are urgently seeking a qualified Welding Engineer for immediate deployment on an Onshore/Offshore Oil & Gas EPC project. This is a short-term assignment with the potential for extension.
Position Details
- Role: Welding Engineer
- Location: Abu Dhabi
- Duration: Minimum 3 months (extendable)
- Mobilization: Immediate / Fast-track
Key Requirements
- Mandatory Certifications & Experience:IIW Certified Welding Engineer (IWE)
- ADNOC Approved or prior ADNOC project experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience: 810 years in Oil & Gas EPC/EPCM projects (Offshore/Onshore preferred)
- Technical Expertise:Welding of pipelines, piping, structural components, and pressure equipment
- In-depth knowledge of ASME Section IX, API 1104, AWS, ISO standards, and ADNOC/AGES specifications
Core Responsibilities
- Review and approve WPS, PQR, WPQ
- Oversee welding procedure and welder performance qualifications
- Ensure welding consumable control and traceability
- Monitor and supervise site welding activities
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Construction, and Third-Party Inspectors
- Support NCR investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Manage NDT coordination (RT, UT, PAUT, MT, PT) and welding-related documentation
- Liaise effectively with Client, Consultant, and TPI teams
