Java Developer

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Java application development within the banking/financial services domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-grade applications and microservices while working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and technology teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, SQL, and distributed systems, along with a good understanding of banking products, payment systems, or core banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Java-based applications for banking systems.
• Develop and enhance microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Participate in the complete SDLC, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Develop secure and reliable applications in accordance with banking and enterprise technology standards.
• Troubleshoot complex application, performance, integration, and production issues.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Support application modernization, migration, and integration initiatives.
• Work with relational databases and develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and provide recommendations on application architecture and performance improvements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer within the team.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, risk, and regulatory requirements applicable to banking applications.
