Job Title:

Tech Lead (8-12 Years)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in software development and architecture, with expertise in Java, AWS, Postgres, and Kafka, and a preference for full-stack development, including proficiency in React. This role involves leading the development team, designing robust solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of developers.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
• Review and improve code quality, architecture, and best practices.
• Drive technical discussions, decision-making, and roadmap planning.

Development and Implementation

• Develop robust backend services and APIs using Java and integrate with distributed systems like Kafka.
• Work with AWS to architect and implement cloud-native solutions, ensuring scalability and cost-effectiveness.
• Design and manage database systems using Postgres for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate on front-end development using React to deliver responsive and user-friendly interfaces (if applicable).

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a liaison between the technical team and other departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting

• Monitor system performance and address bottlenecks to ensure optimal performance.
• Investigate and resolve production issues efficiently, minimizing downtime.

Documentation and Standards

• Maintain detailed documentation of technical solutions, designs, and processes.
• Promote and enforce coding standards, version control, and CI/CD practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: 8-12 years in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Backend Development: Strong proficiency in Java, including frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot.
• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation).
• Database Management: Extensive experience with Postgres, including query optimization and schema design.
• Message Queues/Streaming: Proficiency in Kafka for real-time data streaming and distributed systems.
• Frontend Development (Preferred): Proficiency in React, with a strong understanding of modern web development practices.
• DevOps and CI/CD: Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience in Agile/Scrum development processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in full-stack development with proven expertise in React.
