Job Description

Jewellery & Accessories Designer (Project-Based)

LYNYER is a contemporary statement jewellery brand known for sculptural, bold designs crafted in close collaboration with artisans across India, Lebanon, and Southeast Asia. Our pieces are produced in limited quantities and designed as wearable art for modern women.

We are currently looking for an experienced Jewellery & Accessories Designer to work with us on a project basis, supporting the development of new collections and special design capsules.

The Role

This is a hands-on design role working closely with the Founder & Creative Director. The designer will be responsible for translating creative direction into technically sound, production-ready designs for fashion jewellery and accessories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design fashion jewellery and accessories (earrings, necklaces, cuffs, rings, clutches, etc.) aligned with LYNYER's sculptural and statement aesthetic
  • Develop detailed technical drawings / specs for production
  • Work with materials such as gold-plated brass, semi-precious stones, pearls, enamel, zirconia, and mixed media
  • Prepare clear CADs, sketches, or technical packs for artisan workshops
  • Understand manufacturing constraints, tolerances, weight, wearability, and finishing techniques
  • Liaise with workshops and manufacturers to refine designs and solve technical challenges
  • Support sampling, revisions, and final sign-off before production

  • Requirements
    • 5+ years experience designing fashion jewellery and/or accessories
    • Strong understanding of fashion jewellery production (not fine jewellery only)
    • Proven experience working with overseas manufacturers and artisan workshops
    • Excellent knowledge of materials, plating, stone setting, closures, and construction
    • Ability to balance creative vision with commercial and technical feasibility
    • Comfortable working independently and delivering to deadlines
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating statement, sculptural or accessories-led work

    Nice to Have
    • Experience designing accessories beyond jewellery (e.g. metal clutches, sculptural bags, wearable objects)
    • Familiarity with luxury or premium fashion brands
    • Experience working in project-based or freelance roles

    Contract & Working Style
    • Project-based / freelance collaboration
    • Remote-friendly, with flexible working structure
    • Competitive project fees, based on experience and scope
