KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi.

Job Purpose

Provide specialist engineering expertise for the design, specification, review, procurement, fabrication, testing, installation, and commissioning of static and packaged equipment for offshore oil and gas facilities. Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, project specifications, HSE requirements, and project schedule objectives throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design

Lead and review the engineering design of static equipment including:

    • Pressure Vessels
    • Columns and Towers
    • Heat Exchangers
    • Storage Tanks
    • Pig Launchers and Receivers
    • Filters and Separators
    • Flare Knockout Drums
    • Scrubbers
    • Reactor Vessels

Review and approve package equipment engineering deliverables including:

    • Chemical Injection Packages
    • Produced Water Treatment Packages
    • Fuel Gas Conditioning Units
    • Air Compressor Packages
    • Nitrogen Generation Packages
    • Desalination Packages
    • Utility Skids
    • Metering Packages

Prepare and review:

    • Equipment Datasheets
    • Material Requisitions (MR)
    • Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE)
    • Technical Queries (TQ)
    • Vendor Document Reviews

Ensure equipment design complies with:

    • ADNOC Offshore Standards
    • ASME Section VIII
    • API Standards
    • TEMA
    • NACE Requirements
    • ISO Standards
    • Project Specifications

Procurement Support

  • Participate in technical clarification meetings with vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and recommend technically compliant solutions.
  • Review vendor drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support procurement team during bid evaluations and purchase order placement.

Fabrication & Inspection

  • Coordinate with fabrication yards and vendors during manufacturing activities.
  • Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
  • Witness critical FATs and shop inspections when required.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

Interface Coordination

Coordinate with:

    • Process Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Piping Engineering
    • Structural Engineering
    • Instrumentation & Control
    • Electrical Engineering
    • HSE and Operations Teams

Resolve multidisciplinary design issues and interface concerns.

Construction & Commissioning Support

  • Provide engineering support during construction and offshore installation activities.
  • Review site technical queries and deviation requests.
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing activities.
  • Participate in Mechanical Completion Walkdowns and Punch List closure.

HSE & Quality

Ensure all engineering activities adhere to ADNOC HSE requirements.

Participate in:

    • HAZID
    • HAZOP
    • SIL Reviews
    • Design Reviews
    • Constructability Reviews

Promote safety in design and asset integrity principles throughout project execution.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Master's Degree is advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects.
  • Minimum 5 years in a Specialist or Lead Engineer role.
  • Strong experience in ADNOC Offshore, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, or major offshore brownfield/greenfield developments.
  • Experience in PMC and EPC project execution phases.
