About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join a growing company in the healthcare and wellness distribution industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring timely purchasing, and supporting inventory availability to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate local and international suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate favorable terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the warehouse and sales teams to prevent stock shortages.
- Track shipments and follow up on order status.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and service standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
- Experience in distribution, FMCG, healthcare, or a related industry is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
