Role Description The Joinery Carpenter is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Arab Emirates, responsible for producing high-quality bespoke joinery and furniture. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials, assembling and installing custom pieces such as doors, cabinets, wardrobes, and wall paneling. The role involves operating hand and power tools safely, performing both structural and finish carpentry, and ensuring precise workmanship that aligns with project specifications and design intent. The Joinery Carpenter collaborates with designers, supervisors, and other workshop team members to meet project timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry skills, including experience with bespoke joinery and custom furniture fabrication.
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools, with a focus on safe and efficient operation.
- Experience in framing and structural carpentry for furniture, partitions, and related installations.
- Skilled in finish carpentry, including precise fitting, detailing, and final adjustments for high-end finishes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and measurements accurately.
- Previous experience in a joinery workshop or furniture manufacturing environment, ideally in the UAE or GCC.
- Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and commitment to safety standards.
- Physical ability to handle materials, operate machinery, and work on-site as required.
- Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in carpentry or joinery is preferred.
