Role Description The Joinery Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the joinery workshop, ensuring that all production activities are completed safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards. In this full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, the manager coordinates workflow, allocates labor and machinery, and monitors progress on custom joinery items such as doors, cabinets, furniture, and decorative wood elements. Key tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, planning cutting lists, supervising fabrication and finishing, and ensuring accurate installation preparation. The role involves close collaboration with design, project management, and procurement teams to confirm material availability, resolve technical issues, and maintain clear communication on deadlines and changes. The manager also supports continuous improvement by implementing production processes, enforcing safety procedures, tracking performance metrics, and training team members on best practices and equipment use.

Qualifications

Strong experience in joinery production management, including workshop supervision and coordinating fabrication of custom woodworks.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications for joinery and fit-out projects.
Knowledge of woodworking machinery, tools, materials (solid wood, veneers, MDF, laminates), and finishing techniques.
Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project timelines and quality requirements.
Experience implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards within a manufacturing or workshop setting.
Capability to monitor quality at each production stage and apply quality control procedures to minimize errors and rework.
Effective leadership skills, including team supervision, performance feedback, training, and conflict resolution.
Strong communication and coordination skills for working with designers, project managers, procurement, and site installation teams.
Competence in using basic computer tools and, ideally, software for production tracking, inventory management, or ERP systems.
Background in interior fit-out or construction environments in Dubai or the wider GCC region is an advantage.
Relevant technical qualification or diploma in carpentry, joinery
