Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for a Jr Mechanical Designer and CAD Operator. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to designing and drafting of mechanical buidling systems using CAD software, creating and reviewing technical drawings and 3D models, liaising with technical teams to resolve design issues, and ensuring design compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

An In-depth knowledge of ASHRAE, CIBSE, Plumbing codes, DM and DCD codes

Hands- on experience in Kitchen, Hospital and Speciality Laboratories cooling and ventilation requirement

Duct and piping design and HAP expertise.

A self-starter, who have delivered project designs independently.

Electrical design knowledge

Use computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) tools and software, as well as building information modelling (BIM), to create design and construction drawings.

The drawings follow ordinances such as zoning laws, building codes and fire regulations.

Knowledgeable of local construction labor/material costs, legal requirements and code compliance Review drawing.

Preparation of working drawings, shop drawings and details according to our methods including: Floor plans, elevations, Construction Details, Furniture layouts

Relevant drawings for DM , DCD and DEWA approval

Prepare detailed shop drawings by doing a through site survey and capturing the levels of each and every services very accurately.

Designs interior spaces, including permanent architectural details and temporary elements

Assesses and meets client requirements through regular meetings and discussions.

Produces all shop drawings, details drawings, sections, elevation, plan, Isometric,sketches, typical detail, etc and floor plans to illustrate concepts and finished projects using computer-aided design programs (CAD) and hand-drawing skills

Expert in 3D drawing.

Review/complete all quantity take-offs for projects ranging from conceptual estimate to definitive estimate.

Excellent grasp of engineering and design principles

Maintain documentation room for efficient drawings storage and retrieval.

Operate and maintain the health of plotter & copier machines, which are relevant to drawing office

Qualifications:

Mechanical Engineering and certifications in CAD and BIM

With at least 4 years work related experience in a Consultancy, Electromechanical or Interior Fitout company

Auto CAD 2D & 3D.

Proven Track Record on completing projects.

Overall 5 years experience, out of which minimum 3 years in Middle East in well-established MEP and interior companies.

Employment Contract duration shall be for minimum 2 years (renewable)
