Euro Mechanical is looking for a Jr. Planning Engineer (Remote).
Junior Planning engineer is responsible for assisting the planning engineers in developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Use of software tools like Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project to create & manage project schedules. Collaboration with project managers, project engineers, major stakeholders for data collection & provide the necessary input to planning engineers to analyze project data, identify potential risks or delays. Assist in preparation of daily/weekly/monthly reports for client & internal reporting. Strong analytical & communication skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Assist in preparing project, tender, and resource-loaded schedules, including critical path analysis.
- Monitor project progress by comparing planned versus actual performance, including manpower, equipment, and physical progress.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, S-Curves, manpower histograms, and project presentations.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to collect progress data and support project execution.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and HSE standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical construction or maintenance projects.
- Experience in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress reporting, data analysis, and project management principles.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Understanding of Oil & Gas industry practices and HSE requirements.
