Role Overview
The Accountant Officer will be responsible for managing daily financial activities, supporting reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving financial processes.
You will work closely with leadership, HR, and operations to maintain strong financial controls while enabling business growth.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership not a back-office function.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable with strong accuracy and timelines
- Prepare and issue client invoices aligned with contracts and project milestones
- Monitor collections and proactively follow up on outstanding payments
- Process supplier payments, including freelancers and international vendors
Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Assist in monthly closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Support budgeting and cash flow tracking
- Prepare management reports to provide visibility into revenue and costs
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements
- Maintain audit-ready documentation
- Support external auditors and tax consultants when required
- Help strengthen internal financial controls and processes
Business Support
- Partner with HR on payroll preparation and expense verification
- Coordinate with sales and operations to validate project financials
- Track project profitability and resource cost allocations
- Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency
What We're Looking For
Required
- 36 years of accounting experience, preferably in IT services, consulting, or professional services
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with accounting systems (Zoho, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a growth environment
Highly Preferred
- Experience in project-based or services-driven companies
- Familiarity with multi-currency transactions
- Understanding of corporate tax frameworks
- Experience supporting audits
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ACCA / CPA / CMA (partially or fully qualified) is a strong advantage
