Position: Junior Accountant
Location: Jeddah, KSA
Department: Finance
Reports to: Finance Manager

Role Summary
The Junior Accountant will support the finance department in daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, proper documentation, and compliance with accounting standards. The role involves assisting with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, petty cash, and preparation of monthly financial reports. The candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Accounting Operations
Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system (Odoo / ERP).
Assist in maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
Handle data entry and verify invoices, receipts, and payment documents.
2. Accounts Payable (AP)
Review supplier invoices and match them with POs and delivery notes.
Prepare payment requests and ensure timely settlement of supplier dues.
Maintain AP aging reports and follow up on discrepancies.
3. Accounts Receivable (AR)
Assist in issuing client invoices based on contracts and progress payments.
Record collections and maintain AR aging reports.
Follow up with clients on outstanding payments when required.
4. Reconciliation & Reporting
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Support the preparation of VAT, ZATCA reporting, and WHT entries.
Assist in monthly closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
Support in preparing financial statements and management reports.
5. Petty Cash & Expense Control
Manage and reconcile petty cash transactions.
Review employee expense claims and ensure compliance with company policy.
6. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all accounting activities comply with Saudi regulations and company policies.
Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready files.
Support external and internal audits by preparing requested documents.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-3 years of accounting experience. Experience in KSA is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an advantage.
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
Full-time position.
Standard working hours (SunThu).
Office-based with occasional field document collection if required.
