Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system
- Assist in preparing journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
- Perform regular bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare basic financial reports and schedules for management review
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records
- Coordinate with internal departments for invoice verification and approvals
- Assist during internal and external audits by providing required documents
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and VAT requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 13 years of relevant accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
- Sound understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with Zoho ERP and/or QuickBooks
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred (Optional)
- Part-qualified ACCA / CA / CMA
- Basic knowledge of UAE VAT accounting and compliance
