Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support our finance operations, with a focus on accounts payable, supplier payments, financial records, and day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, solution-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reconcile and process supplier payments.
- Review invoices and clarify any discrepancies related to invoice items, pricing, or receiving signatures.
- Prepare payment vouchers with invoice number, date, vendor details, item description, amount, and appropriate accounting codes in line with company policies and procedures.
- Manage petty cash and maintain daily records of cash transactions.
- Review and verify new supplier documentation, including trade licenses, VAT numbers, and other compliance documents.
- Monitor and maintain accounts payable records.
- Keep accounting books and financial records accurate and up to date.
- Track key financial areas, including prepayments, top supplier payables, and cash bills.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- M.Com or an equivalent qualification in Accounting/Finance is preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably within Retail, E-commerce, or FMCG.
- Prior experience in Accounts Payable is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good command of English, both written and verbal.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solution-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
