Job Summary:
Wafa Life Insurance - Egypt is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Actuarial Analyst to join our actuarial team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a strong foundation in actuarial science within the life insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of actuarial models for pricing and valuation of life insurance products.
- Perform data analysis and ensure data accuracy for actuarial calculations and reporting.
- Support the preparation of reserves and financial projections in line with local regulatory and IFRS standards.
- Contribute to experience studies and recommend assumptions.
- Assist in product development, including pricing analysis and profitability testing.
- Prepare actuarial reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, underwriting, and risk management.
- Stay updated on actuarial standards, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science is MUST.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of actuarial software or programming is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of life insurance products and actuarial concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
